This listing is for ready to ship Black trim JUMBO drop spindles with MATTE rings; if the core colour that you'd like does not show up in the menu, it is not in stock and can be purchased from the [Made-to-order Custom Trim JUMBO Drop Spindles] listing. If you prefer a holographic ring, they are also available via that same link.
Each drop spindle comes with:
1x textured mystery wool mini-batt(approx.14g/0.5oz)
2x ¼” black rubber ring for bobbins
Please note that drop spindles do not come with bobbins as they can be used without one. However, up to 4 bobbins can be bundled with a drop spindle for the discounted rate of $9 each.
Select a ½” hook (same as reg. size spindle hook) if you'll be spinning or plying yarn that isn't 'bulky' OR a ¾” Hook if you are planning on spinning or plying yarn that is 'bulky' or thicker. A 1/2" hook is big enough to ply 4 'worsted weight' yarn strands. Hooks are not interchangeable - you can size up, but not size down.
The free textured mystery colour wool mini-batt(approx.14g or 1/2oz) is for you to play around with, and test out on your new spindle. In the menu above, you can choose to upgrade to a 56g/2oz mystery batt or to completely remove it should you not want it.

Care Instructions/Warnings
Whorl & bobbins are made of PLA(A renewable plastic made from plant starch). This material begins to warp at 60°c/140°F.
The hardwood shaft is unfinished, and you may choose to paint it or seal it with a wood finish of your choice. If the bobbins are snug, please sand down the wood prior to finishing or they may not fit afterwards.
I recommend practicing over carpet or grass as drop spindles and bobbins in general can be damaged from any drop on a hard surface – especially if they are full of yarn, as that will increase their weight.
Due to the printing process, bobbins can snap if bent or if dropped.
